Copy of an ancient axe

This project was particularly special for us, as it required showcasing blacksmithing skills no less than those of a craftsman who lived over 800 years ago. It was a collaboration with a team of archaeologists from the local history museum. The challenge was to recreate an ancient axe using traditional hand-forging methods. The task required considerable effort to prove that modern blacksmiths can still master old techniques, despite the conveniences of contemporary technology. It was a challenging yet fascinating experience.
